About Me
Heather McLean Heape was born in Banner Elk, NC to a father that was a real estate
broker and general contractor. She grew up feeling that real estate was simply in her
blood. She graduated from Avery County High School and then attended
Appalachian State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in
Psychology.
Heather went on to serve 20 years as a military spouse- it was during this time she
found her passion for serving others. Heather’s dedication and service to our
military families has been recognized by the United States Army with many awards
to include: The Sustainer of Excellence, The Keeper of the Flame, The Outstanding
Civilian Service Medal and the Dr. Mary E. Walker Award and Medal.
In 2018, Heather moved back to her roots in the High Country.
As a Realtor, Heather continues her dedication and commitment to helping others.
She strives to provide both buyers and sellers the highest level of honesty and
commitment. She strives to make the home buying and selling process relaxed and
enjoyable. Heather is very proud to call the High Country home and loves to share
her knowledge of the area with others. She believes that life should be simple. We
should all help others and spread kindness wherever we go.
